WHAT IS SCULPTRA?

Sculptra is a dermal filler used as a collagen stimulator, and it’s mainly used to treat wrinkles and folds on the face. The main ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). This ingredient provides long-lasting results that last, making it a cost effective and safe dermal filler.

Sculptra use, however, is not limited to just the face. In fact, Sculptra has become a popular choice in the glutes, thighs, biceps, triceps, and the pectorals. It is also a good way to correct cellulite.

Frequently asked questions

Most dermal filler treatments take about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated and the desired results. Many patients find the session convenient since it fits so easily into a busy schedule. With minimal downtime, you can resume your regular activities shortly after the treatment.

Following dermal filler treatments, the areas injected may be slightly swollen and red. Ice is recommended throughout the day to help minimize swelling and provide comfort. You will see changes right away, but you won’t be able to see your full results until all of the swelling subsides. We recommend caring for your skin by using gentle products and staying out of the sun until the injected areas heal completely. Do not massage the treated areas or expose them to heat (such as a hot shower or sauna) for 24-48 hours.

After your initial treatment, you may experience a few common side effects. These include redness, tenderness, and swelling. In some rare cases, bumps and itching may occur.
